IDEAS Want to know if you have a confused identity? Set aside one hour to gather all of your brand communications, business cards, stationery, note cards, shipping labels, brochures, ads, presentation materials, a printout of your website home page, uniforms, a picture of your signage and vehicle lettering, etc. Find a large, clear, flat surface, such as the conference table or the floor in your office, and spread everything out. On a pad of paper, make notes, writing down every inconsistency you see, e.g. logo colors, fonts, taglines, imagery, paper stock, messaging. If you find yourself writing, it’s time to strengthen and unify your image.
     
NEWS   Child & Family Services, one of the oldest nonprofit organizations in Southeastern Massachusetts, is celebrating 165 years of service. In honor of this milestone, the agency asked us to create a special logo for their stationery, note cards, website, banners, and special event collaterals. The agency will be hosting its 10th annual holiday gala in the fall and plans to brand this signature event, as a way to build recognition and increase the value of sponsorships. In 1843 Child & Family Services opened its doors as the New Bedford Orphans’ Home, to children left homeless and without families during the whaling era. Today the agency offers more than 20 programs, including adoption, mental health, family support, mentoring, and community outreach. Each year over 13,000 adults, children, and families are served.
