IDEAS Practicing good business card etiquette can make a remarkable impression. Experts have documented that standards in North America and Europe tend to be relaxed, yet there is much we can learn from countries such as Japan and China, which hold business cards in high regard. Your business card is a direct representation of you, your company, and the quality of your products or services. Therefore, invest in quality cards, i.e. design, stock, and printing. Accept a card with two hands, study it, then comment on the card and clarify the information before putting it away in a respectful place. Lastly, avoid writing on a business card, yours or someone else’s.

NEWS   Matthew Rocha invested in an identity program designed by BER inc and the return has been substantial. As an individual in a very competitive marketplace, Matt recognized the need to develop a visual identity that would convey his professionalism and work ethic. Specific typography, colors, and an illustration which reflect Matt and his industry were used to create a unique look and feel for his business card, letterhead, résumé, and envelopes. Matt has toured the country with many productions that were hits on Broadway, including “Miss Saigon”, and is currently touring with “Legally Blonde the Musical”. He has also toured with Edward Scissorhands and in Japan with “The Who’s Tommy”. His film credits include “Tell-Tale”, the adaptation of Edgar Allen Poe’s classic, “The Tell-Tale Heart”, and “The Surrogates”, starring Bruce Willis. Look for both movies in theatres next year.
