Child & Family Services, one of the oldest private nonprofit organizations in Southeastern Massachusetts, wanted to create a branded identity for its annual gala and for its Holiday Hope Project, as well as an identifying mark celebrating its 165 years of service to the community. The aim for these projects was to increase awareness of the agency’s rich history and to build recognition for two of its annual fundraising events. We developed a name for the annual gala and designed a timeless identity inspired by the agency’s Victorian roots. While the color palette was built to change each year, as a way to add interest and intrigue to the event, the overall look and feel was designed to remain the same, both building recognition and saving the agency time and money by not having to recreate a new theme each year. We designed the Holiday Hope Identity to mirror the agency's identity, making it cost-effective to print and appealing to a broad audience. In the first year, fundraising increased nearly 50%.
